COVID19 Cleaning Practices

As a small luxury B&B with a maximum capacity for just 6 guests, cross contamination of COVID19 is a much lower risk, compared to larger hotels and B&B’s.

Each Suite has its own private entrance via French doors from the garden, therefore no shared internal corridors.  Each Suite provides an outside seating area which exceeds 2M distance from other guests outside seating area's. Outside tables and chairs will be sanitised daily during your stay, as will our guest gate handles. We are proud to keep our high standards of cleaning but to provide our guests with an extra level of comfort and conform to Government guidelines we have added some temporary changes and added to some of the ways we do our bit to keep our guests safe and comfortable at Koala Cottage.

We provide guests with x2 hand sanitiser stations, one located at the guest entrance gate and the other in the breakfast room.  We also provide a bottle of hand sanitiser in each of our guest Suites. We strongly encourage all guests to make regular use of these products.

Guest check in times:  4PM at the earliest   Guest check out time: 11AM at the latest.

Breakfast room:  Breakfast times will be staggered between guests with an extended breakfast time of 8am-10am.  No more than x4 guests will be permitted in the breakfast room at any time.

Room service:  For those guests who prefer to have breakfast in or outside their Suite, we are happy to provide a lighter breakfast option of Cereal/fruit/yoghurts and toast to your room.  Breakfast will be placed outside your room for you to collect as a pre-arranged time.  Guest must leave their tray of dirty/used items outside their Suite for collection and cleaning when finished.

(Breakfast times can be arranged the night before).  Please notify us of any food allergies or specific dietry requirements.

Guest are not permitted at any time to enter the breakfast room, until its their pre-agreed time to do so. A guest menu box is placed outside the breakfast room for guests to drop in their pre-ordered breakfast menu and time.

We will no longer be providing guest with the option to self-serve cereals, fruit, yogurts and juices from the buffet table.  These items will be served to your table.  Table service only.

Room Servicing:  We are unable to provide daily room cleaning services during this pandemic, this is to reduce the risk of cross contamination during your stay.  We kindly ask guests to place used cups and plates outside on their private table for cleaning before they leave for the day, this also includes fresh towles.  All plates, glasses and mugs will be washed in a dishwasher and returned to your outside table for your collection.

Room items (high touch items)

We have removed all magazines/leaflets/books and records.  'High touch' items such as remote controls/light switches/tv/door handle/kettle/taps/curtain/coat hangers/hair dryer/iron/ironing boards/cushions and blinds are cleaned with appropriate sanitiser sprays and recently purchased UV Light Wand (used in hospitals and other sterile environments).

We kindly remind guests to consider our staff and other guests at all times on our premises by respectfully keeping a 2m distance, where possible.  Staff will use face masks, or and a face visor when serving food and cleaning rooms.  Guest are not required to wear facemasks but we encourage you to do so if you feel at any time you are unable to keep to a 2 m safe distance from others.  We also strongly encourage guests to make regular use of our hand sanitiser stations.
